  18.           I have returned after a few weeks of. I enjoyed my vacation,
  19.           and I would like to thank those that wished me a good one.
  20.           Things are winding down for a good summer of work with the
  21.           HelpWeb, the Weekly Bookmark, and WBAds. Some of my plans
  22.           include a FAQ and improved navigation through the web pages.
  23.  
  24.           Coming up in the next few weeks will be a coupole of articles
  25.           from our staff. Marian Hank is diligently working on an article
  26.           and should have it completed for you in the next week or so. I
  27.           am still researching a few topics for my article. Look for
  28.           these in the next month or so.
  29.  
  30.           The Weekly Bookmark should be showing up on time in your
  31.           mailboxes from now on. pobox.com's mail server was running low
  32.           on memory causing a large backup processing some of the
  33.           postings. Those problems have been solved and everything should
  34.           be back to normal.

  123.         CONSER (Cooperative Online Serials) Program
  124.                 Along with the creation of these home pages, _CONSERline_
  125.                 issues for 1996 are now available in HTML format via the
  126.                 World-Wide Web. Issues for 1994-1995 can be accessed via
  127.                 the _CONSERline_ home page which links to back issues on
  128.                 the gopher server, LC MARVEL. We will continue to publish
  129.                 _CONSERline_ in ASCII format and distribute issues via
  130.                 email through listserv software, in addition to making
  131.                 the HTML version available on LCWeb.

  133.                 On the CONSER Program home page you'll also find general
  134.                 information about the program, the current _Annual
  135.                 Report_, and documents on serials cataloging issues in
  136.                 HTML format. Updated guidelines for cataloging remote
  137.                 access serials (e.g., electronic journals) are available
  138.                 via the home page. New CONSER record requirements,
  139.                 including the seven new core records for special format
  140.                 serials, are included as well.

  142.                 The program home page includes links to catalogs
  143.                 available on the Internet, serials collections online,
  144.                 and other Internet cataloging services. The final section
  145.                 lists email addresses for asking questions or identifying
  146.                 problems relating to serials cataloging or CONSER

  148.                 automatically generate email messages provided your Web
  149.                 browser can accommodate.

  189.         InterAct'96, The First Virtual Conference
  190.                 It's not just another conference! It's the first truly
  191.                 virtual conference where nobody has to travel. Not the
  192.                 speakers, not the attendees. InterAct'96 will consist of
  193.                 two main sections, a conference section and an exhibit
  194.                 section.

  196.                 For the conference section we are pre-recording
  197.                 introductory comments from speakers and putting those up
  198.                 on the web in streaming audio (ToolVox from Voxware) and
  199.                 streaming video (VDOlive from VDOnet). Speakers then
  200.                 participate in moderated chat sessions during the
  201.                 conference that will take place from April 23-25, 1996.
  202.                 We have quite an eclectic list of speakers so far, which
  203.                 includes Esther Dyson, Shikhar Gosh, Eric Schmidt, Klaus

  225.                 The Small Business Friendly program is a non-profit
  226.                 service/Web site dedicated to seeking out reliable

  283.                 them is that they are all free. The only requirement is

  286.                 it's subscribers of current league standings, upcomming
  287.                 leauges, free advertising for subscribers and other
